Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Adnan Marketing Services Inc. ("we," "us," "our"), which operates Honest Tax Buddy and the website www.honesttaxbuddy.com (the "Site"), collects, uses and shares information about you when you visit the Site or submit your information through it.
1. Who we are and what we do
Honest Tax Buddy is a referral service. We are not a tax firm, law firm, accounting firm or debt relief company, and we do not provide tax, legal or financial advice. When you submit the form on our Site, we connect you with independent, third-party tax professionals and tax resolution firms who may contact you about your tax situation. We are not affiliated with the IRS or any government agency.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our questionnaire, we collect your answers, including the approximate amount of personal IRS tax owed, whether it is personal or business tax, whether you are working with a tax professional, whether your tax returns are filed, and your state. We also collect your first and last name, phone number and email address, and a record of your consent to be contacted.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the date and time of your visit, the ad or link that brought you to the Site (for example, advertising campaign identifiers and click IDs), and how you interact with the Site.
Consent verification. We use a third-party consent certification service (ActiveProspect TrustedForm) that records your session on the form page, including what was displayed and your interactions with it, to document that you gave consent to be contacted.
3. How we use your information
- To review your answers and match you with tax professionals or tax resolution firms who may be able to help.
- To share your information with those professionals so they can contact you, as described in Section 4.
- To confirm and keep records of your consent.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, prevent fraud and spam, and verify that phone numbers and email addresses are valid.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including on Facebook and Instagram.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
4. How we share your information
With tax professionals and tax resolution firms. When you submit the form and give consent, we share your contact information and questionnaire answers with one or more independent tax professionals or tax resolution firms who may contact you about your tax situation. Those companies pay us for these referrals. Once they receive your information, their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies.
With service providers. We use companies that help us host the Site, process form submissions, store records, validate contact information, verify consent and run advertising. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
With advertising partners. We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, which send information about your visit and actions on the Site (such as completing the form) to Meta Platforms, Inc. so we can measure and improve our ads. Meta may combine this with other information it holds about you under its own policies.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.
5. Calls, texts and emails
By submitting the form and checking the consent box, you agree that a licensed tax professional or tax resolution firm may contact you at the phone number and email you provided, including by calls and text messages that may use automated technology or prerecorded messages. Your consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask any company that contacts you to stop calling or emailing you. You can also contact us using the details below to withdraw your consent for future referrals.
6. Cookies and tracking
The Site uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies to remember your visit, measure how the Site and our ads perform, and attribute form submissions to the ads that led to them. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can learn about and adjust how Meta uses data for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information or its use for targeted advertising. Because we share your information with tax professionals who pay for referrals, this may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under some state privacy laws, including California's. To make any of these requests, including a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, email us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond as required by law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to keep records of consent and to meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations, and then delete or de-identify it.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
